To start their 11th year, the Diskotopia team announce a new sub-label focused on releasing designed-for-the-dancefloor tracks from a mix of Japan-based and international artists.

After a decade of releases, the Diskotopia sound has shifted away from club-based releases, so we wanted to have an outlet where we could showcase exciting and fun music designed for the dancefloor.

We hope the compilations can provide a foothold for artists to come together by having their tracks on the same release for the first time, foster new collaborations, and join the dots between the segregated different groups within the Japan underground music scene and out across the globe - while paying homage and respect to the communities in which club music and its culture originated in.

Volume One brings together Japanese artists RGL and Ryota OPP, Ireland-based Tr One, and the Diskotopia co-heads - BD1982 (here under his Myakkah moniker) and A Taut Line - for a selection of house, techno, breaks, jungle, and hardcore burners.
